CELLO INVEST was created in response to the requests for support from exceptionally talented musicians encountered over the years—soloists, chamber musicians with international careers, concertmasters of renowned orchestras, and more— and the founders' desire to respond to that need.

Irish, a graduate of HEC Paris, and a lawyer in business law and international taxation, Ailbhe Chereau O’Rourke, co-founder and CEO of CELLO INVEST, was responsible for the acquisitions of artworks for French national museums for 14 years. In this capacity, she dealt with key issues that are equally relevant to exceptional historical instruments: ownership, provenance, authenticity, and condition.
Music holds a special place: born into a musical environment with a father who is a concert pianist, she is also an amateur cellist.

CELLO INVEST, at the interface between musician and patron, connected the cellist Raphaël Jouan and CANIMEX Inc., allowing Raphaël Jouan to play on a magnificent cello by Matteo Goffriller (Venice, 1700-1710) which belonged to the renowned cellist Antonio Meneses and which was graciously provided by CANIMEX Inc. for a prestigious recording: the Dvořák cello concerto with the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est, conducted by David Reiland, for the La Dolce Volta label. In addition to the composer’s masterpiece, the new CD includes his other works: “Waldesruhe, Op.68”; and “Rondo, Op. 94”.
